Severe Weather Narrative Assignment
- Choose a severe weather event from the list below that will be involved in your narrative.
- Place three pieces of notebook paper in the writing section of your binder. Label the top of the paper: Warning Signs, Destruction, and Preparation,
- Take notes from the following links according to the hints below:
- Preparation - What steps do you take to prepare for the event? What supplies do you need? How will you communicate with others if you need to?
- Warning Signs - How did you find out that your weather event is happening? What information did you learn from the weather forecast? What do you notice taking place in the atmosphere? What signs do you see, feel, or hear?
- Destruction - What do you see, feel, or hear going on around you as the storm heightens in strength, during the strongest point in the storm, and after the storm has passed?
